Decades of working across continents, cultures, and systems have shaped my approach to leadership development — one that combines strategic insight with deep respect for the human side of change. My work reflects a lifelong curiosity about how people and organizations grow, adapt, and thrive in complexity.
Born to Eritrean parents in Ethiopia during the height of Eritrea’s war for independence, I arrived in Germany as a refugee at the age of four. Growing up between cultures instilled in me an early awareness of identity, belonging, and transformation — themes that continue to inform my work today.
After earning a Master’s in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School, I joined the United Nations, serving in peacekeeping missions in Sudan, Somalia, and at the New York headquarters. Working across cultures and systems taught me how trust, collaboration, and empathy drive effective leadership — even in the most challenging environments.
Over time, my focus shifted from external conflict resolution to the inner workings of organizations. As an advisor to UN executives, I led initiatives to improve how complex systems learn, decide, and adapt, in the process driving innovative approaches to mandate implementation in highly complex, dynamic and volatile contexts.
Today, as an independent leadership coach and organizational development consultant, I work with leaders and teams across sectors — from the United Nations to technology firms, consulting companies, and NGOs — helping them navigate change, strengthen collaboration, and lead with authenticity and purpose.
